why

in 2009 with the loss of so many friends and mum,i decided that time had come to realise a dream, cycling end to end,but at near on 20 stone everyone thought i was crazy,a visit to the doctors had welcomed results with the advise not to diet ,take the training steady and eat a sensible heathy diet, and get regular checks with them from time to time,

out on the bike it was murder on my rear too much weight pressing down on such a small area,

the answer A RECUMBENT TRIKE ! and boy was it welcome.because i want to enjoy it 50 mile a day has been planned(20ish days)i have decided the only way i could afford it was to cycle camp, rough and ready but cheap

due to the length of the trip it will also be solo and un assisted, told you i was crazy

12 months and counting

well 49 today, one year of training left, getting fitter faster but no thinner, comments of cuddly and big boned are welcome but realisticly i need to shed more weight.

got the trike ready for road test after modifications and i dont mean an extra axle to carry the weight as david already asked.also wondered if road bike might have to be an option although realy want to go on trike, will have a couple of weekends with camping as a trial run soon.

started getting my camping gear together but with one daughter the other side of the world in asia ,finding whats left of my equipment after both girls had done duke of edinbrough awards is proving difficult and the fact that julie has a briliant storage system in the cot loft that resembles a stuff sack.

begining to wonder if trying to find a companion for the trip may be an option but finding some one who wants to cycle camp unsupported and take 20 days to do it may be difficult

if anyone actualy looks at this will try post more often
