why

in 2009 with the loss of so many friends and mum,i decided that time had come to realise a dream, cycling end to end,but at near on 20 stone everyone thought i was crazy,a visit to the doctors had welcomed results with the advise not to diet ,take the training steady and eat a sensible heathy diet, and get regular checks with them from time to time,

out on the bike it was murder on my rear too much weight pressing down on such a small area,

the answer A RECUMBENT TRIKE ! and boy was it welcome.because i want to enjoy it 50 mile a day has been planned(20ish days)i have decided the only way i could afford it was to cycle camp, rough and ready but cheap

due to the length of the trip it will also be solo and un assisted, told you i was crazy

old banger to rolls royce

cornwall in august, lovely time of year if ur a duck, malc broke his anckle two days prior to going so that left me and julie,we took bikes thinking we would get a few miles in but julie is a fine weather cyclist(very fine weather)so we managed about 10 miles on the monday, tues rain set in so of to ice recumbents to have a look round their show room which turned out to be a tent in the corner of the workshop, chris the owner was very obliging showing me their different trike and then proceeded to get them out for me to ride round the carpark.after trying every model trike they had in there, after which he offered the loan of two trikes for the weekend one with electric motor for julie,so saturday morning saw us heading up the devron trail truro to portreath and back the 2nd good day.the performance of the ice adventurer 2 was brilliant so much so that monday morning a nice shiney red one built to my spec was ordered and collected monday afternoon, well impressed with the team at ice.

  3. At least you've avoided the MAMIL problem (Middle aged man in Lycra) some can be fearsome in such unforgivingly moulded clothing!
